Region 14 ESC SDFSC offers a Cyber Safety Class for 4th to 12th grade students. We cover basic internet safety rules and then show how they apply to e-mail, blogs, social networking sites, game sites and other areas on the web.

Parent meetings are also avalable.

Tip: It is reccomended that school web-sites don't post students last names.

Remove personal info. from the web:
• www.google.com/alerts type in the name in quotation marks (“Rod Pruitt”, “Rodney Pruitt”) this will e-mail alert and tell you when the crawler find new or old info. about you on the web.
• www.privacyrights.org/ar/infobrokers.htm to take personal info off the web.
• www.naag.org/ag/ful_ag_table.php , www.ftc.gov , www.fcc.gov if any fraud or illegal business action has taken place.
