The Special Education Preschool Programs for Children with Disabilities offers a continuum of services to preschool children ages 3-5, identified through the Admission, Review, and Dismissal committee process. The program offers a free appropriate education to children identified with a disability, beginning on their third birthday.
Staff development and technical assistance are provided on a regular basis for personnel working with young children with disabilities in a variety of settings. Collaboration with other agencies serving young children is promoted and supported in order to provide a smooth and effective transition process for children and families transitioning to and from preschool programs. Parental involvement is encouraged and welcomed.
