Region 14 has been awarded the opportunity to continue the TARGET II grant project in 2005. We received an amount of $674,000 that will enhance the technology capability of 7th and 8th grade teachers in our schools and enable our children to enter into this 21st century with the skills they need to succeed.

This site will keep you updated as to the progress of the grant and give you the information you need to stay informed. This grant cycle begins July 1, 2005. Please check back often.

The TARGET Academy training for Cycle 2 was held August 1-5, 2005, at Region 14 ESC. There are 44 7th and 8th grade teachers from districts around the region participating in the project this year. The teachers were instructed on curriculum integration, lesson design, and web site preparation. They also received their laptop computers and printers. These teachers are excited about the opportunity to integrate technology into their classroom routine and encourage their students to go to new areas of learning.
