This PEIMS module provides information on the reporting of special education, career and technology education, and bilingual/ESL education. ESL is the abbreviation for English as a Second Language.

There are now 4 Bilingual Program Type Codes and 2 ESL Program Type Codes from which to choose when completing your PEIMS coding. Click to download the descriptions of each, below.

~ONLY the LPAC has the official authority to make exit decisions.

~The LPAC is required to keep auditable documentation to validate each exit decision made.

~LPACs may only exit students at the end of a school year.
